Mrs Romass Saron is a Jarai Indigenous woman from Ten Village, Yatung Commune, Oyadav District, Ratanakiri Province, Cambodia. She is an Indigenous woman activist and development practitioner with experience in community development, women’s empowerment, and climate-resilient agriculture.



She has worked with Highland Association (HA), a partner of the Cambodia Indigenous Women Association (CIWA), since 2014. Starting as a project assistant, she progressed to become a project coordinator, supporting Indigenous students, promoting women’s rights, preventing early marriage, and currently coordinating climate-adaptive agriculture projects.
Through her journey, Mrs Saron has become a confident leader and role model for Indigenous young women, advocating for education, self-confidence, and community development. She believes that education and perseverance are key to transforming the lives of Indigenous women and their communities.
